The company Nike has been around for a long time now, they are known for the best cuality of sneakers and clothing. Nike is worth about 4 billion dollars and they have factories in countries like China,South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. Most employees in these factories are children and they work up to 12 hours a day, with a low wage. The working area is very dangerous for children and there has been alot of cases of permanent injuries on children. As also there has been deaths in these factories.
According to an article on the web, Nike was accused of child labor in Pakistan for exploiting kids to make soccer balls. Pakistan is known for being a very poor third world country and most children are forced to work. Even though its illegal for children to be employed in Pakistan, but the government does not put a stop to it. Most of the soccer balls are made in Pakistan and it is produced by a children. Nike makes a big profit employing children,and it is very smart on keeping its good image by charities or donations.
